Tour of Clydeside

WERR was recently selected as Club of the Month for April 2018 by the Sports Council for Glasgow!  The award recognises the strength and growth of the club over the past two years and in particular the recent success of the Newbies programme.   In their newsletter the Council said:

"West End Road Runners are only 2 years old and to date they have 90 full members.  ...... They achieved Scottish Athletics accreditation within four months of conception – something of a record – and they are now firmly established as part of the Glasgow running scene. WERR have also launched a new initiative called “WERR Newbies”. This is aimed at those who have either never run before or those who haven’t run for a long time or are long term injured; WERR Newbies has been hugely successful. 

Thanks to Graeme for the nomination, everyone involved in the Newbies programme and all members for making WERR the club is it!  Below are representatives of the committee and Newbies programme picking up our award.
