Early 2018 I tried to get back into running after a 2 year break and physio for back/hip problems but struggled to get motivated to run. Wanting to build back up slowly I joined one of the WERR newbies groups. Even as a runner with previous experience I can't recommend the newbies group enough, it's incredibly well run, friendly and supportive.
Since moving to the main group I've run better than ever before, smashing previous personal bests and running tricky routes I wouldn't have been motivated to do on my own....not to mention dropping 3 dress sizes in the process :-). If you're looking for a friendly, sociable club with room for every type of runner you can't get better than WERR.
